Great Fish War

In this fairy tale, the constant tremors felt beneath Vattenland were blamed on a legendary war that occurred annually in which all the fish in the sea battled it out for supremacy and to crown a champion. The actual reason was the hollowing-out and re-emergence of Drakon from his prison beneath the ground, which subsequently caused the island’s sinking. Despite this occurrence having nothing to do with fish or the original story, it is still used to describe this event as if the lullaby were actual history, likely because it is easier to tell younger dragons. Jade is the first pup from the new generation who heard the story and passed it on, following a strange voice heard while swimming, though the details of this knowledge gain are unknown.
