Dehydratoad

LAND: Dreka

The Dehydratoad is a well-known amphibian that propagates especially in the desert areas of Dreka, though some have reportedly found them along other shores from time to time. They have the ability to dehydrate themselves should they be approached by onlookers (or potential predators), reducing their size significantly to hide and avoid capture. If one can catch a dehydratoad and place them into water, the fertility of the land around that corresponding area is supposedly boosted (at least until they scamper back off to their desert homes). Dehyratoads have very large eyes, so capturing one is not the easiest task, with hind legs that can propel them greater distances than one might anticipate.
